Service Description

We consider both Pilates and Functional Conditioning to be key components of general health and fitness, injury prevention, injury rehabilitation and athletic performance.Pilates focuses on fundamental mobility, flexibility and strength -particularly core strength. Movements are generally performed lying down, and are usually a bit smaller and slower.Pilates improves focus, control, posture, breathing, body awareness, lean muscle tone and muscular endurance. Functional Conditioning focuses on functional mobility, flexibility, strength and power. Movements are generally performed standing, are more dynamic and complex and usually require controlled power. Functional Conditioning improves balance, stability, coordination, dynamic control, dynamic posture. Functional Conditioning exercises support our posture and movements in everyday life and athletic activities.
